Eastside Cannery Is Built On the Site of the Old Nevada Palace
The Eastside Cannery Casino and Hotel was opened in 2008, replacing the old Nevada Palace that had been on the site in Las Vegas since 1979. It was erected about two years after the property was purchased by Cannery, and cost about 250 million dollars. It is the first major casino in more than a decade to be built and established on Las Vegas’ eastside. The Cannery Casino Resorts’ owners say they hope to combine the best and finest elements of the Nevada Palace with the new Eastside Cannery.
The Theme Is the Industrial Age
The Eastside Cannery local casino and hotel is contemporary in its design, and is located on the Boulder Strip in Sunrise Manor, Nevada, seven miles from the Las Vegas Strip, in a well known area of Las Vegas. It is owned by the Cannery Casino Resorts group, and is the second Cannery brand casino, the first being the North Las Vegas Hotel. The most prominent feature of the hotel is the bronze sixteen storey tower, which is topped with a saw tooth roof outline, making it one of the most noticeable buildings in the Las Vegas Valley. The inside adornment of the Eastside Cannery complements the architectural design. The theme is the age of industry, and you will see large open beam ceilings with exposed mechanical details throughout the building. Elements of the past are however, mixed in with this latest technology. Amusing murals depicting building facilities decorate the outer walls of the property.
Stunning Views from All the Rooms
The Eastside Cannery hotel has a total of three hundred and seven rooms, all with air conditioning, and most feature floor to ceiling glass windows, giving guests spectacular views of the mountains and the bright lights of the Las Vegas Strip. There are five executive suites on the top floor. There is a special events ballroom, a private club on the sixteenth floor, and several restaurants and bars. Other amenities for guests include a nightclub and a half acre outdoor pool. Free Wireless Internet access is provided. One of the restaurants is situated on the sixteenth floor, and offers panoramic views of the Las Vegas skyline. Visitors are close to the Golf Club and the famous Botanical Cactus Gardens. The Eastside Cannery is also a convenient base from which to explore the local area, and discover places like the Colosseum at Caesars Palace and Stratosphere, which are an easy car ride away.
The Casino Offers All the Traditional Games
The Eastside Cannery casino is large, and features about two thousand slot machines of all different types as well as twenty six table games. There is, additionally, a race and sports book, a poker room and a large 450 seat bingo room. The bingo room holds seven sessions daily, and fresh pastries are served daily and complimentary beverages are offered at every session. The Eastside Cannery artwork on the ceiling of the new Pinups Bar celebrates the evolution of industry in a fun modern art way. Comps and free play bonuses will come rolling in, even for beginners and infrequent visitors.
